From Orphan to Leader of the Pride
Born in 1980 and raised in Uasin Gishu County, Richard Kiprono Kemboi — affectionately known as Kimboi — is one of seven children, six boys and one girl. Orphaned at just ten years old, having lost both parents while still a child, he learned early that life would demand courage, faith, and hard work.
He was raised with the deep roots of Mosop in Nandi, and today he calls Turbo Constituency home — the soil from which he farms, gives, and leads. He is married and a proud father of four.
His education — at Mother of Apostles Seminary Eldoret through the 8-4-4 system, then a degree at Kisii University, and studies in Law & Criminology at the University of Nairobi — became the foundation of a life devoted to service.
